Emulsio 5 brings improved stabilization, AI-powered slo-mo & upscaling to iPhone, iPad & Mac.

Mons, Belgium - August 26th, 2025. Creaceed releases Emulsio 5, a major upgrade to their video stabilization app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Emulsio 5 brings three key video creation innovations: the use of on-device artificial intelligence (AI) to insert slo-mo to existing videos (up to 10x slowdown), video upscaling to improve details on large displays (up to 400%), and an improved stabilization technique with full HDR support.

Fourteen years after the original release in 2011 of their best-selling video editing app that pioneered 3rd-party video stabilization on iPhone and iPad, Creaceed releases a major upgrade to their flagship. Beyond its improved handling of video stabilization (see below), Emulsio 5 brings new tools to digital creators in the form of an innovative AI-powered slow motion (slo-mo) generator, an upscaler to let users increase the pixel resolution of their footage to target larger displays, and a retiming tool to increase the frame rate (FPS) of their video for smoother playback. Moreover, the stabilization capabilities of Emulsio have been upgraded to include multi-frame inpainting and allow limited zooming while stabilizing videos as previously required. Emulsio 5 also features an updated user interface that suits all three platforms, iPhone, iPad & Mac, and offers a fluid and comprehensive video editing experience.

Why synthetic slo-mos? High-frame-rate videos can be shot directly with a modern camera on an iPhone, but they generate very large files, and also require well-lit scenes like an outdoor sunny day. Conversely, AI-generated slo-mos work from standard video and are made after shooting (you decide afterwards), can be precisely crafted with custom timing/duration/speed, and don't require any specific lighting. In short, a must-have tool for content creators with a vision for their action scenes.

More broadly, Emulsio 5 sets the ground for a new generation of tools for on-device AI-powered video editing capabilities on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Its on-device AI capabilities make it more energy efficient and independent of AI cloud datacenters, and let users create without relying on cloud credits while simultaneously fully utilizing the advanced hardware optimisations of their beloved creation devices. In short, on-device processing provides better energy efficiency and guaranteed-by-design user data privacy.
